Rational Deployment Automation Content Pack for RAFW and WAS

Overview

Enhances deployment planning and automation to eliminate scripting work and manual effort to drive the standup and configuration of the target deployment environment.

Extends IBM Rational Software Architect Extension for Deployment Planning and IBM Rational Software Extension for Deployment Automation Planning

• Out of the box support for numerous RAFW actions for configuring application deployments on WebSphere Application Server, including generation of RAFW configuration files from a rich, validated, semantic model
• Integration for the Deployment Workflow editor to show available RAFW tasks supported by the platform including detailed descriptions on the usage of the tasks and support to import a task into a deployment workflow
• Custom RAFW publisher that will create an RAF automation project and a corresponding WebSphere environment tree
• Deployment workflow generation can leverage custom Build Forge libraries and rules in conjunction with RAFW rules to produce an automation project the incorporates tasks that are integrated with tasks supported by RAFW (e.g., install database and test data)
