- The WebSphere DataPower Integration Appliance for zEnterprise (XI50z) provides a multifunctional appliance for the System z environment that can be implemented to help provide XML hardware acceleration, streamline and secure valuable service-oriented architecture (SOA) applications, and provide drop-in integration for heterogeneous environments by enabling core Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) functionality, including routing, bridging, transformation, and event handling.
- Both the XI50B and XI50z extends WebSphere DataPower SOA appliance capabilities through enhanced operational efficiency with the adoption of the latest IBM BladeCenter technologies
- Enhanced performance with next-generation XML hardware acceleration and 10 gigabit Ethernet, and optimized load distribution with the Option for Application Optimization.
- The XI50, XI52, XI50B, and XI50z provide leading capabilities and benefits including:
- Simplifies infrastructure with Application Optimization option to provide intelligent back-end application workload balancing (available only for 9235 and 4195 machine types)
