Accelerates the development and deployment of IP Multimedia Subsystem.

• Extend the WebSphere Application Server platform for operation in an IMS architecture - delivering a fully IMS-compliant SIP application server platform
• Expedite connection to the Call/Session Control Function (CSCF) in the IMS control plane with pre-built IMS Session Control (ISC) interfaces
• Extend the WebSphere Application Server platform for operation in an IMS architecture by adding support for the Diameter protocol
• Enable efficient implementation of secure communications with IMS-based subscriber profile management with pre-built Sh interfaces to Home Subscriber Server (HSS)
• Enable off-line charging models with pre-built Rf interface to IMS Charging Collection Function (CCF)
• Enable on-line charging models with pre-built Ro interface to IMS On-Line Charging Function
• Reduce application programming complexity with flexible, web services-based access for Diameter interactions
