IBM WebSphere Message Broker for z/OS is built for universal connectivity and transformation in heterogeneous IT environments

It distributes information and data generated by business events in real time to people, applications, and devices throughout your extended enterprise and beyond.

• Provides a smart approach to SOA extending the reach of your business beyond your firewall by supporting a broad range of multiple transport protocols and data formats, including C and COBOL data structures.
• Integrates multiple applications, networks, and device types using an enterprise service bus that is built for universal connectivity and transformation in heterogeneous IT environments and enables you to conduct business reliably and securely.
• Enables you to bring together both existing and new applications and services, because it provides support for existing applications whether through WebSphere MQ, CICS, IMS or Virtual Storage Access Method (VSAM), as well as support for new Web services.
• Is tightly integrated with the z/OS platform, providing the same look, feel and operational characteristics as a z/OS subsystem. Exploits the reach and reliability of the WebSphere MQ enterprise messaging backbone.
• Takes full advantage of System z quality of service and transaction integrity capabilities, such as WebSphere MQ shared-queue support, DB2 data sharing, CICS EXCI support and Resource Recovery System (RRS) global transaction coordination.
• Provides Complex Event Processing and file-based integration including VSAM, enabling you to integrate your batch processes into an ESB. Offloads message processing to zAAP processors by using the Java transformation nodes.
• Exploits WebSphere DataPower Integration Appliance for Web services security processing.
