The 60-drive EXP5060 expansion unit provides up to three times greater density compared to traditional drive enclosures, enabling a 960 TB DS5000 series system to reside within a standard 19-inch rack. The increased density combined with highly-efficient power supplies and cooling fans enables the EXP5060 to reduce power consumption by more than 10 percent and floor space by more than 65 percent compared to previous generation enclosures.
