Merge Tool for z/OS and OS/390 provides a variety of tools to perform merge tasks and assist with source code consolidation

The IBM Merge Tool for z/OS provides the tools required by both project managers and application developers to manage the process of parallel development.

• Provides a variety of tools to perform merge tasks
• Includes an ISPF workbench for accessing the Merge Tool actions and reports
• Provides reports to aid in the assessment of source consolidation
• Produces a statistics file for identifying and sizing a consolidation effort
• Generates a work file so developers can edit and review changes to resolve any merge conflicts before generating the final merge result
• Provides a batch interface to perform most Merge Tool actions in batch
