IBM WebSphere Business Compass Version 7 is a collaborative Web-based tool for designing and developing business process assets.

• Capture business intent through strategy, capability and process maps.
• Record important changes, and comments on models by subject matter experts
• Define business vocabularies, specify organizational maps, and perform process walkthroughs to ensure a common understanding of the business
• WebSphere Business Compass is the renamed WebSphere Business Modeler Publishing Server for the Version 7 release; all previous editions of the product are still called WebSphere Business Modeler Publishing Server.

• Forms integration lets you sketch human interfaces for business process modeling notation (BPMN) processes
• New BPMN service editor lets you create a BPMN service interface to support process service tasks
• New Business Vocabulary Editor to create business terms, BPMN item definitions, business roles, and other common vocabulary for use across your organization
• Enhanced business capability editor links to business vocabulary; enhanced business strategy editor including links strategy to business vocabulary

• New presentation software export capability for BPMN process and collaboration diagrams to help business users communicate and share information
